When I start to write my post I first jot down all my thoughts on the subject I am planning to blog about. I use a old fashion wheel approach with a hub as the main idea and the spokes of the wheel for different sub-topics based around my main topic.
I normally find the sub-topics by looking up the Google Keyword Tool as well the keyword suggestions that Google may have at the bottom of each page when you look up a specific keyword or keyword phrase.
I then spin off small paragraphs to answer the questions that people may find useful in the future. I strongly suggest using the end user ‘the Google searcher’ as your main focus and not try to focus primarily on local SEO rankings. If you look after the content and offer good advice around searched terms you will find your website start to rank high in organic results in Google.
I hope this is useful to you.
